Easy lemon Bars recipe



  1. For crust:
  2. 2 cups flour
  3. 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  4. 2 sticks unsalted butter at room temperature
  5. For filling:
  6. 1 can (15 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  7. 4 eggs
  8. 2/3 cup fresh lemon juice
  9. Zest of one lemon
  10. 1/4 tsp salt
  11. 1 tsp baking powder
  12. 1 tbsp flour
  13. Yellow food coloring (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. Step 1Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9 by 13 inch baking pan with aluminum foil and set aside.
  2. Step 2In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients for the crust and mix together until it forms a dough. Press the dough in the bottom and half way up the sides of the baking pan and bake for 20 minutes. remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  3. Step 3In a large bowl combine all of the filling ingredients and mix until everything is well mixed.
    Pour into the baked crust and bake for 25 minutes.
  4. Step 4Cool for 30 minutes at room temperature and 2 hours in the fridge. Dust with confectioner sugar and cut into bars.
