Ingredients
- 2 – deep dish pie shells
- 1 – cans of lemon pie filling; [I use Musselman’s
- 4 – egg whites; (room temperature); beaten
- 6 – Tbsp. Sugar
Cooking Instructions
- Step 1Preheat oven to 375
- Step 2Thaw out frozen pie shell; about 20 minutes.
- Step 3Prick pie shell with a fork several times on bottom & sides.
- Step 4Remove and completely cool down
- Step 5Once completely cooled down; add 1 can of lemon pie filling to pie shell.
- Step 6Set aside;
- Step 7In a mixing bowl; add egg whites, sugar and beat until soft peaks form.
- Step 8Spread meringue over lemon pie filling sealing it to the edge of the crust.
- Step 9Bake 10 minutes
- Step 10Bake pie shell for 11 to 14 minutes
- Step 11Remove from oven and allow to completely cool down.
- Step 12Serve & Enjoy!
