Magic Lemon Pie

Ingredients

  1. 2 – deep dish pie shells
  2. 1 – cans of lemon pie filling; [I use Musselman’s
  3. 4 – egg whites; (room temperature); beaten
  4. 6 – Tbsp. Sugar

Cooking Instructions

  1. Step 1Preheat oven to 375
  2. Step 2Thaw out frozen pie shell; about 20 minutes.
  3. Step 3Prick pie shell with a fork several times on bottom & sides.
  4. Step 4Remove and completely cool down
  5. Step 5Once completely cooled down; add 1 can of lemon pie filling to pie shell.
  6. Step 6Set aside;
  7. Step 7In a mixing bowl; add egg whites, sugar and beat until soft peaks form.
  8. Step 8Spread meringue over lemon pie filling sealing it to the edge of the crust.
  9. Step 9Bake 10 minutes
  10. Step 10Bake pie shell for 11 to 14 minutes
  11. Step 11Remove from oven and allow to completely cool down.
  12. Step 12Serve & Enjoy!
