starbucks lemon loaf



1.5 cups AP flour
3 eggs
2 tbsp zest-2 large lemons
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup cooking oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
2-3 tsp lemon extract
3/4 cup plain yogurt
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tbsp milk
1 tbsp lemon juice

Cooking Instructions

Step 1
Rub together the sugar and lemon zest for 3 minutes.
Step 2
Now beat together the lemony sugar and eggs together for about 2 minutes until light and airy. Add in the lemon juice and lemon extract. Add in the oil Add in the yogurt and mix until combined
Step 3
In a small bowl whisk the flour, baking soda,baking power and salt.
Step 4
Add 1/2 into the wet ingredients and incorporate it together. Add in the rest and mix until

Pour the batter into a baking loaf tin.Bake on preheated oven 180°C for about 50-55 minutes or until
a toothpick inserted comes out with a few crumbs.
Step 6
During this time make the lemon simple syrup by combine the two ingredients and cooking it until the sugar has dissolved and it comes to a boil
Step 7
Take the cake out of the pan and brush liberally with lemon syrup
Step 8
Make the icing with powdered sugar, lemon juice and milk.
Step 9
Let the cake cool and pour icing and spread on it.
