Ingredients
- 2 cups selfraising flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 t baking powder
- 85 g butter, cubed
- 3/4 c milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 squeeze lemon juice
- 1 beaten egg for glaze
- 200 g raisin
Cooking Instructions
- Step 1Preheat the oven 220C
- Step 2Heat the milk for 30 second in the microwave, and add vanilla, lemon juice. set aside
- Step 3Mix flour, salt, baking powder
- Step 4Use your finger or put in the mixer butter and flour together. Work on it until a bit crumbly and well combine
- Step 5Add wet ingredient slowly, mix it until well combine. Do not over mix or over work on the dough because the scone will be hard after you bake it
- Step 6With the rolling pin roll it 1 inch and cut with round cutter.
- Step 7Brush with egg wash on top of the scones and bake for 10 minutes.
- Step 8Serve this with fresh jam and whipped cream
